How can I be selected to be in the field of 16?

We're glad you asked - here are the rules.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible, you must:

1. Be a registered Grower.
2. Be present at the Mustache Melee to participate.

HOW TO MAKE THE FIELD:

12 Fundraising-Based Selections

• The first 12 spots go to the 12 Growers who raise the most money tomorrow, Tuesday (5/6/2024), from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (3:59:59 p.m. to be exact). ONLINE DONATIONS ONLY.
• No donations before that time or after that time will be counted for this contest. Seriously, we have had donations with a timestamp of 12:59:59 and we've had donations at 4:00:00. Neither will count. It is the only fair way. Shut up.
• No company matching dollars will be considered in the totals, but there are no other restrictions (get those matching dollars anyway).

2 Wild Card Selections

• Two (2) Growers will be selected by our double secret selection committee.

2 Play-in Spots

• Top 5 Rookies by funds raised will compete in a play-in game.
• Top 5 2nd-4th Year Growers by funds raised will compete in a play-in game.

Too complicated? Just raise as much as you can from 1-4 tomorrow and let the Mustache gods decide your fate.

Thanks to ZEEK! (Jon Meyers) there is a $20,000 matching pool. Whoever raises the most money during that window will have $2,000 added to their Grower total. The remainder will be distributed as follows:

1st Place - $2,000

2nd Place - $1,500

3rd Place - $1,250

4th Place - $1,000

5th Place - $900

6th Place - $800

7th Place - $750

8th Place - $700

9th Place - $600

10th Place - $1,000

11th-15th Place - $500

16th - 20th Place - $400

21st - 40th Place - $250

These matching funds will be added to your Grower total regardless of whether you participate in Melee.

This Thursday, the field and brackets will be announced during Trivia Night at Redeye/RTG. If anyone cannot compete or does not confirm their spot it will be given to the next on the list.
